I want to add more memory to my laptop but a lot of stores, (Best Buy, Circuit City, etc.) Say they don't have what I need. Could someone please help. HP says they don't even have it.

Go to crucial.com, or kingston.com They are the memory experts. They have a tool that will download your computer's information, and direct you to the exact one you need to buy.

Go to the HP website and put in what you have and it will give you what you need to upgrade. From there you can purchase from other companies that might offer what you need at a lower price. Try also on the Compaq website for your modle of laptop.
