Green beans with bacon!
First fry the bacon until it's crispy and remove it from the pan. Then lower the heat and let the pan cool off a bit before you pour in the green beans, water and all. Turn the heat back up and simmer until most of the water has evaporated off. Season the beans with a little thyme, and salt and pepper to taste. Pour into the serving bowl and crumble the browned bacon over the top. YUM!!
What we did have for Thanksgiving dinner was wonderful ... but I missed the beans!
PS: Do you think we're related? We look a lot alike, and have similar thoughts about a lot of things! (I read a few of your answers!) Anyway ... I like your style, and the thought of you makes me smile!

I made my deviled eggs but I could see making a green bean casserole as I had decided to go and get my dinner to go from a restaurant. I love green bean casserole but didn't get it just got green beans.
