I wanted paypal so it would be instant pay.. but on my paypal it says uncleared and that they sent me an e-check? and it will take a few days to clear?

Is an echeck the same as paypal? I asked for paypal and specificly said no chekcs and money orders.

An echeck means the money is in transit. It is not a check in the sense that you mean. The buyer apparently has an established PayPal account, so what they've done is issue payment from their checking or savings account. When it clears their bank, it will be deposited into your account. It's safe and secure. PayPal won't let it go through otherwise. It can take 3-5 business days, which means Monday-Friday.

I buy a lot on eBay, and won't buy from anyone who doesn't use PayPal.

Most of the time it's almost like an instant transfer unless they did a check through paypal. Also, if they just got paypal it may take a little longer to get registered and set up. I use it all the time with work and it's pretty fast. If you are transferring from paypal to a personal account it takes 2 to 3 days tops.

pretty much. You need to check in to why they sent a check instead of direct deposit. Do you have your bank account verified with Paypal?

Only reason I can think of that they didn't push to your bank account. You aren't fully verified yet or something.

It'll be there, it takes a few more days and you'll get another 'you've got cash' message when it clears. Don't ship your item till it clears. I've gotten a few of these, they do go through.
