I believe in evolutionism because there is simply too much proof and information to ignore. However, I also believe in God. I think they are both linked and we (man) just hasn't figured it all out yet. Maybe we are not supposed to have it all figured out.

Well, I believe in a combination between the two. I believe in evolution and the big bang theory, but I also believe in god. That is to say that I believe that God caused the big bang and thus created evolution. (I'm Orthodox Catholic) I study both the Bible and evolution as much as I can. Theology can never replace science, and science theology. Many people seem not to understand that. Religious books are largely figurative and do also contain histroical accounts. Proper interpretation differentiates between the two. I don't understand the extremist Protestants that claim that the King James Version of the bible (the most inaccurate and edited) is the absolute word of god and must be taken absolutely literally, nor can I understand the atheists who attempt to replace science with theology.

It is not a matter of belief, but of understanding.
Did you ever wonder why lions and a pet cat look very similar to each other? Or why the Dodo bird was flightless, seemingly just waiting for man to come to their island and hunt them to extinction?
It is ignorance to accept that these things were just put there.
Evolution is the only theory which explains the differences and similarities between all species of life on Earth. It is one of the most robust, yet elegant, theories to be put forward.
It is supported by many branches of science, in fact, I cannot think of a branch of science which can be used to reject it. The main objections to it are faith based and are not scientific. People seem to be insulted that they can be related to other forms of life. Why? Because then it would challenge their beliefs that they were created in God's image, rather than having an ape-like ancestor as a template for humankind. It is this arrogance which keeps some people from accepting evidence.
Science may not be able to explain every step of every stage of every animal, and this is seen by creationists as proof that evolution is incorrect. Darwin, one of the champions of evolutionary theory, never claimed to have all the answers, neither do scientists today make that claim, but the theory of evolution is too compelling and logical to be simply dismissed just because it carries the tag of "Theory". There are many current examples of the theory at work, including bacterial resistance to medication, locust resistance to pesticides etc.

I'm a Catholic, but I truly believe in Evolutionism because I believe in the evidence throughout the millions of years. But there is also evidence that there IS a God or a spirtual being, so I believe in both, on different levels.

Those who will discuss here, I assume know much about this subject. Therefore, I leave it to them except for one good thing, which is entirely my own thought.
1. Evolution: It is not possible with out creation
2. Creationism: Has not evolved since the time creation began in human thoughts.

As an ex-Creationist, Born-again Anthropologist, I'd have to say that Science, is based on factual, measurable, recorded data which can be compared to other collected, recorded data, and Creationism is based on imaginary wishful thinking...

It is not a natter of belief, but of evidence. The fact that you asked this question shows you do not understand that concept. Evolution, the change in allele frequency over time in a population, is fact. The theory of evolution by natural selection, explains the fact of evolution and is supported by mounds of evidence.
Creationism has not one scintilla of evidence in support of it; just assertion.
