Sorry - no you've got at least 2 years to wait - then you can vote them out and get the other incompetent shower to take over . I go with the quote" anyone who wants to be a politician shouldn't be allowed to be one"!!

Unfortunately no! The government here can screw up in all kind of ways, and then say how sorry they are. And of course, open up yet another enquiry which will take about two years, and millions of pounds, to come up with the answer that there was not really a screw-up. I totally despair!
Someone said they are bad, but not as bad as the Tories. I think they are every bit as bad. One thing I know, I WILL NOT be voting for Labour again, for at least two decades, when I know that this bunch will all be dead or too F*****g old to do any further damage to this country! Tony Blair and Gordon Brown will go down in history as being the two people whose governments have done the most damage to Britain in two centuries.

I agree with "lyndon", remember though that it is not the electorate who instigates the vote of no confidence. Also the American electorate did not get rid of Nixon, he was impeached by fellow politicians. Only the "boys" can oust the "boys". All wrong in my opinion, we put them in, we should have the power to get them out. Why should we have to wait for a general election to show our dissatisfaction? Only then to vote in another load of shysters? Different party, same c**p! I have said this for a long time and it is so simple no one takes it on board, ARRGGHHH. In the run up to an election each party must "declare" in it's manifesto, what it proposes to do, no waffling, no hidden agendas, no sneaking in the back door, no kiddology, no patronising of the electorate.... You get the idea, they have every right and mandate to correct the mistakes of the previous incumbents, (when has that ever happened?) Once elected, if, after 2yrs they have failed to honour their manifesto, they lose office. We do it all again till they realise they are our servants and must do what the majority wants them to do. No golden pensions at our expense, no job for life on the EU gravy train. There is much debate at the moment about footballers earning too much, I agree that they do, but at least they are not running my country or telling me how I should live my life, unlike this shower of incompetents. If McClaren can get the boot, why do we put up with Brown?

Unless in law they have committed an offence , they cannot be removed from office , the legal way is a general election and they are so frightened to call one , what you should have said they have also committed treason , piracy and sold this country down the river .

Certainly; if the Government loses a vote of confidence in the Commons they have to dissolve Parliament and call a General Election. Why not write to your MP and ask him to call such a vote?

why, its not the politicians that make all the problems its the civil servants after all we can change the ruling party at election time but it is always the same staff just a different public mouth piece. you can always stand for office yourself but most people will vote the way they always have and hoping for change

Yes, they can be impeached in the UK. The idea was mooted in 2004 over Blair's handling of the Iraq War:
