An assumption is when you come to a conclusion based on what you THINK or BELIEVE to be true, rather than what actually is true. An assumption may or may not turn out to be true, depending on the situation.

An assumption is a guess, but with arrogance. The person assuming is taking a guess without all the facts, and predicting they are correct because they think they're smarter than having to get all the details.

Assumption means you assume something to be true with out proof! You don't care if there's a chance you might be wrong.. you just assume something to be true! that's what assumption means. Politicians do that alot!
