An assumption is a guess, but with arrogance. The person assuming is taking a guess without all the facts, and predicting they are correct because they think they're smarter than having to get all the details.

Assumption means you assume something to be true with out proof! You don't care if there's a chance you might be wrong.. you just assume something to be true! that's what assumption means. Politicians do that alot!
