it says 1998 (obviously when it was made), its got like weird boat thingymajigs on it, on the other side of the coin its says espana(which im presuming its spanish currency).
its got a weird symbol on it
its like a bow with a bendy stick on it. which next to is a straight line. that side of the coin is split in half. half of it is shaded darker than the other side. its a goldyish colour.
now i know it is 1998 but because of the weird symbol i really want to ask how much it is?

Indeed the coin is a 5 Pesetas from Spain KM# 833. It is made of aluminum-bronze. It has an obverse and reverse in a modern stylize designs. It is not a scarce coin and can be found in a coin dealers world coin box for .10-.25 cents. Even though it has little value thanks for bringing it to my attention. I don't often go through the modern sections of my coin catalogers, it is a mater of no time for I am more interested in the older coins. You brought a very unique kind of coin to my attention. They were only made for 5 years, they started in 1989 but were only minted in 5 different years up to the one you have 1998.

It is 5 pesetas, the currency Spain had before being part of the European Union and using the Euro since 2002. It is therefore not legal tender any more, no idea what it would be worth to a collector. An online currency converter told me that 5 pesetas would be have been worth US$0.04, 4 cents.
