White Christmas is a firm favourite. Theres just something very old fashioned and lovely about it - especially the last few scenes. Miracle on 34th Street - either the old or the new version. The Santa Claus - its just great and we watch it again and again even in July! Close runner up is Jingle All The Way - very funny and watchable. Others on the short list are: Santa Clause II The Snowman The Secret Santa Muppet Christmas Carol Jack Frost (but only if you have a box of tissues handy!) I saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus - a lovely story about a boy growing up and moving on from the christmases of his childhood. I guess by now you realise we love christmas and christmas films in this household so we do!!

You are right it does bring home what Christmas is all about which many seem to forget. I always have a quiet time to remember just why we are celebrating. I love the film too because it is a classic and there are lessons to be learned from it.

My mum absolutely adores the christmas carol stories and has pretty much all the versions on video or dvd.

I also went to see a christmas carol at a theatre many years ago with school and it was amazing the best version I hacve ever seen thoroughly enjoyed myself

Yes it is a good story , although obviously a touch far fetched .There have been a number of good versions in cinema and TV and at the core is a real message to us all
I love it when Tiny Tim has his first lovely Christmas

I Hope you mean the Alistair Sim Film Which is the definitive version! Funny how it never gets shown on tv at Christmas.
absolutely wonderful!

Well, the British version of the film starring Alistair Sim is still the finest of the lot.

I always consider this story to be one where a conservative is turned in to a liberal.

Conservatives seem to be uncomfortable, when I say that though. 8-)

I look forward to watching it every year. It is classic, and Christmas isn't the same without viewing it. The best part for me is when he becomes the good guy. Being forgiven by his nephews wife, then they all surround them as they dance.
The look on tiny Tim's mother's face when the big turkey gets delivered to their house.....just can't wait to enjoy it once again this year.
