a pentium II is a cpu (central processor unit)

if the mobo is solid and working and everything else does, you could load a version of linux on it and use it as a server, or a play system to learn linux on, but as the geniuses above pointed out is is an older system, and not it will not run vista (who would want to), you could sell it on eBay there is alway a market for it, it won't make you rich, but some one might be able to put it to good use, you know not everything old is junk......

No. A Pentium II is probably 10 years old, too slow to support many of the applications that you'd be using today.

Nope, too slow and the corresponding motherboards for it are too outdated in terms of features and capability.
It is the Pentium lll that has some usefulness in it. In some locations, it is a downloaders' favorite. Dirt cheap, low power consumption and serves purpose well.

Yes it is, then you can use it to make really neat paperweight for your desk. Make a mold and place the processor at the bottom, then pour in a clear epoxy, and let it harden. Remove it from the mold, and you will have a really neat paper weight for your desk.

P.S.: Also makes a great gift for "Techy" friends.

Pentium II precessor's a terrible performance quality for today's systems and they're worth nothing.

Hope this will help,
