Will the two strengthen their alliance or go their separate ways (in which case, would the RI start a viable third party?)

Hopefully they will find true religion. Versus their generic version of Christianity. They clamor for things such as the Ten Commandments being displayed at a courthouse. Please show me the scripture where this is required in the Bible. I wish they would live by the rules they claim to represent, versus inventing their own rules and standing behind those.

The will strife stubbornly like always, to turn the clock back to the 12 century, the hay day of inquisition, witch hunts, religious power and perverted popes

They survived the Clinton years and will survive if the democrats get in only it will be tougher cause it's a sure thing they will try to shut down the voice of Christianity. They would never be allowed to start a third party!

They won't. Because if Hilliary is the Democratic nominee, that alone will rally the Republican base and make them into a formidable foe. And have you looked at the approval ratings for the Dem controlled Congress, not looking to good are they.

No way we need the religious right, whether you like them or not as long as there are lobvbist, we need the Christian right, otherwise we would be totally run by the hispanic and israel lobbyist. The Israeli lobbyist pretty much run our government already, no bill gets accepted unless they accept it first, the Hispanics are closing the gap. If you think your elected officials run our affairs you are deluded.

Basically nothing will happen. They will be put into their place and maybe shut up and go back into their holes. Otherwise nothing really will happen.

I got news for you brother...2006 was a God-send for Republicans. When the Dems took over...people saw at face value the true incompetence of the Democratic party.

Dems will get slaughtered in 08... why?

Because Dems
-already talk about raising taxes
-appear very weak on immigration (You can thank Spitzer and Clinton for that)
-very weak on defending our nation against terrorist
-Always bring negative to the forefront of their platform
-When outspoken Newark, Mayor Booker (D) overtly stated he would not assist the Federal Government on illegal immigration
-When the New York Times has admitted success in Iraq
-When Sally Lieber (D) of Californian wanted to pass the no spanking law.
-When people always see Barbara Boxer (D) point the finger vice providing solutions
-When Senator Joe Lieberman continues to call a spade a spade on the Democratic Party.
-When Harry Reid (D) continues to open his mouth
-When Nancy Pelosi doesn't want to protect organizations right to hire English speaking personnel
-When people see San Francisco Values
-When people see Al Sharpton take down Imus. (BTW when IMUS comes back he is going to go off on the Dems for jumping ship so easily when times got rough for him. He will pull of independents)
-When people see MoveOn.org and their Petreaus ad
-When Media Matters try to slander Bill O'reilly by taking his talking points out of context

All this in a millionth of second weighs on peoples minds...and they say...DUDE..these guys are dangerous....all just by guilt by association. And just like that..... they view the Democratic Party as dangerous.

Remember when in 1994 the Dems got slaughtered...because Slick Willy tried to implement a far-left agenda. History will repeat itself.

They will aggresively complain how liberals have destroyed the US, but little else. Like any zealots, they'll continue to fight.

Nothing. People who want to impose their morals onto you know no such thing as defeat, they'll try again in the future.
