I dont know who would be there.. but i want it to be a party.. Remember how much we had.. the parties.. the laughter.. the sorrow... the trips.. the pranks.. And i want everyone to laugh a lot.

I hate to answer a question with a question, but how is it rude? I find it pretty durn interesting. My husband, kids, my family, and my in-laws family. Probably other relatives I haven't seen in a few years that are looking for a free meal afterwards. No, really we have a few of those. All I know is that the ones who mean the most to me will be there, and they are aware "Don't Fear the Reaper," will be playing, along with black and purple roses, and free drinks to any who of age, and everyone has to tell the raunchist joke they know. I told them as long as nobody tries to set the coffin on fire, I'll be cool. No honestly, this was a family discussion. They don't like it, but like I told them it's my funeral, and if they don't do it like that than I'll haunt them all.

I don't know how old you are but I've attended lots of funerals in my lifetime. Let me tell you, it's not just friends who attend funerals. Many attend from a sense of obligation to the family of the deceased.
A better test of true friendship is how they are treating you now, while you are alive.

I see no rudeness in your question, and no, I have never wondered who would attend my memorial service. Actually, my four sisters and I have decided to save a tablespoon full of each of the ashes of our remains, combine them in a small ceramic container, and put them in a place predetermined between the burial sites of our parents. I have no direct decedents, so one of my sisters suggested that because we have all selected cremation then we will continue to combine the ashes with future generations until the indididuals ashes are exhausted.

To be honest, I would hope that if anyone came to my funeral outside of my immediate family, it would only be out of lip service. I would hate to think that my death would cause undue suffering to people who I barely even noticed to care about me in life. But, life is cruel like that...

Prefer to not have a funeral. Cremate me. Throw my ashes in the trash. Forget about me.
