I'll have to admit, so far this season,
you are the first person to ask me,
what was in my pockets.
While most have their cell phones,
change, or their keys.
I am one of those strange people,
who just happen to have rocks in my pockets.
When we go any place that has rocks
in parking lots, school grounds or near parks,
I'm always looking down.
Today's treasures are a piece of shale
with what looks like a fossil fern in it
or someone has been carving it.
Three flat pebbles, probably jasper,
considering the color, size and weight.
In my right pocket, there are a few shards
of blue glass, a beat-up piece of a
silver charm bracelet, the broken clasp
has a .925 which is difficult to read
and a tissue with what appears to be
a carved piece of broken malachite.
