At this point of his career, having him on the squad would be to achieve the century mark in caps. Sports is unforgiving, but it does seem as if he deserves to gain that grand total. After that, though, he will be through as a national player.

It frustrates me to hear that Beckham is through as a player on the international stage. Why should his 100th cap be his last???? Didn't he clearly show that he was the best player on the field yesterday (besides crouch perhaps)?? Doesn't he seem to be the only english player how looks like he gives a F**K when playing for his country??

He's an english boy through and through, who always looks like he's willing to die for the 3 lion crest. The next manager would be stupid not to include him in the squad (including WC 2010), even if its just to teach the rest of those spoiled flops what it means to play with pride.

yesterdays game wooda been Becks 100th game if the genius we know as Maclaren didnt drop him from the squad when he took over after Sven. now he has to come back to play some meaningless friendly for it instead of a euro 08 warm-up,or group game. his stock juz dropped here in the states. LA Galaxy want to trade him already. lol jk.

Why not?

Wasn't his fault that England blew it.

How about him winning his 100th against the US?
But not in LA.
Make his asz fly across the country for it.

i hope so, but not just for his 100th cap but for a long time after that. Beckham is definately one of the few player who actually looks like they give a damn about england!! thats fustrating && admirable at the same time, i said from daii one he should of stayed captain && as for kicking him off completely, well that was just damn stupid!!!!!!!!!

i will be bitterley disappointed and outraged if Beckham does not get his 100th cap

1. he has been a true legend for england
2. he has saved us many times - Greece
3. who else would have fought back and got back in the team after being dropped?? tremedous character

BECKHAM IS LEGEND AND HE MUST BE GIVEN THE CHANCE TO REACH A LANDMARK 100 FOR HIMSELF AND FOR THE COUNTRY THAT HE HAS GIVEN SOOO MUCH TOO.

BECKHAM I SALUTE YOU!!!

They could bring back Gary Lineker in next years Home Internationals to score his 50th goal and beat Bobby Charlton's record. But we don't need to brake records, just get in the damned competition first!.
