When people ask this type of question, I'm never sure whether they are asking "Why are we here on earth?" or "What will make me feel good about myself?" Point of life requires a plan or design or reason for existence. A reason for our existence requires God or else the question itself is meaningless.

We can invent and try out activities that will keep us busy and make us feel better about ourselves but those activities cannot be the reason we came into existence.

If God exists, He must have put our need for meaning and purpose into our human nature to lead us to seek Him. So seeking God is our purpose and that is the point.

The key is that you find the thing that has meaning for *you* in this life. This thing is different for different people. For one person it could be raising their children, for another person it could be researching the cure for an illness. The point is to discover what it is and stick with it.

Victor Frankl has written a couple of very good books on this subject, but I have cited the classic below.
