I left tank heater on for too long. But the other fishes are fine. When i checked my tank my fish (i named him fruity) was floating. Then i put him in a glass..it sinking now. also when i look him out of the water he did not move at all. But i do see some breating though the mouth and the gills. The eyes are still the same, which is black.

HE DIDNT MAKE IT. Like Adam said he went to the big fish tank in the sky and now god will take care of him better than me. He is in safer hands=[

i feel for you because my fish recently died and i hate it because i would have had it for almost 2 years on the 30th of this month.
you should probably not turn on the heater until it gets better.
check up on it a couple of times a day
fill me in on what happens.
at keli789@yahoo.com
i hope he or she finds the best way to live
also is it floating or sinking?
moving or still?
what color is its eyes?
if white that is a bad sign sorry to say.
(my fish was named fluffy)
if you do turn on the heater watch him until it is a little warmer
but not to warm
cause of that problem that happened.
when you find out some more dont forget to e-mail me asap because i love animals and want to help other people through this!!!!
wish you the best!!!!!!
kelly

you also have 2 other fish i wishyou the best still and write me back and see how it goes

I hope your fish survives, but your aquarium heater should be controlled by a thermostat. I am concerned about what you mean when you said that you have left the heater on too long. If you mean your ROOM heater, I can't see how that can hurt your fish.

I would move him into a separate tank, with proper water conditions....
I hope he will be alright, I love fish too, and don't worry, I cry too when I loose a fish :,-(
good luck
