replace the shower, waiting for replacement parts will only get on your nerves, and they are not cheap!

Hello,
Triton make both electric showers and power- showers, so I'm not sure which type you will have got. An electric shower actually heats the water up, a power shower does not, - it only adds pressure and flow to the hot water stream from your storage tank or possibly, from your boiler direct if you have a combination ('combi') boiler.
Clearly if the shower itself, is what's making your shower hot water (the electric type), then it's that which is your problem. But if the shower is only adding pressure and flow to the hot water stream, then it's your tank or boiler that has run out of hot water.
In this 2nd case, turning on a hot tap when the shower has run cold, would also give you cold water, have you tried that ? : -)
Hope this helps. Belliger

If the water gets very hot before going cold and then starts working again after about five minutes, its due to insufficient water flow causing the overheat thermostat to cut out. The most common solution is to clean the shower head after stripping down the components and soaking them in a jar of kettle descaler. The electric heater within the unit is also prone to scaling up and can be removed quite easily and descaled in a similar manner. Only attempt this if you are good with electrics. The key point is if the unit begins working again after it has cooled down. This rules out defective components and the overheat stat is only doing what it is meant to do.

triton parts are expensive and then there is the cariage charge my advice is to buy another shower pref the same model if not definately triton as the plumbing and electrics are all on the same side.
these are just like kettles only they work harder so at £100 over 5-7 years thats good value for money
All the best

the only thank you to understand is to be sure the pass fee for the bathe and for the tub. in the event that they are an identical (meaning an identical quantity of water in a unit of time), then the longer one wastes greater water. yet whilst the bathe flows at a cost of 5 liters in line with minute and the tub is 15 liters in line with minute, then easy math shows that fifty liters (10 minutes for the bathe) is far less that 75 liters (5 minutes for the tub).

Problem with the thermostat. You may not get spares, so it's better to get a new one.
