Huckabee says that he does not believe in amnesty for illegal immigrants in the U.S. "There does need to be restitution and a way to make sure they don't jump in front of people who have been trying to get into the country legally," he says. He has also said: "There is a need for people who will do jobs after our citizens have had first crack at them." Huckabee favors increased border security. "I've never really worried about someone slipping across the border to pluck chickens or pick tomatoes or make beds, but it does worry me that somebody could also slip across the border with a shoulder-fired missile launcher," he said. http://pewforum.org/religion08/compare.php?Issue=Immigration

Huckabee supports the death penalty. In his book, From Hope to Higher Ground, he described the death penalty as "a tough issue." He wrote that he believes "some crimes deserve it, but that does not mean I like it." He also described carrying out the death penalty as the worst part of his job as governor of Arkansas. In a December 2005 interview on PBS that he said that he has had to "carry out the death penalty more than any governor in the history of my state" and that "it is not something I'm proud of." http://pewforum.org/religion08/compare.php?Issue=Death_Penalty

With a little {or a lot} of help from his friends in high places....President Clinton was from Arkansas,,,,and strangely when he was president I saw a tremendous surge in Arkansas trucking companies, Arkansas based Wal-Mart, {Which from what I've read, the Clinton's "OWN" a share of this money machine action} and that huge chicken processing plant, that I can't think of the name of, right now.

So, my thoughts are, the Clinton's helped the Arkansas economy by going national and international on many Arkansas based businesses, and at the same time the new jobs created by this economic boom, reduced the welfare rolls.

My thoughts are that this happened when President Clinton was in the White House. Every state cut back on their welfare rolls at that time and the economy was also booming.

I am still having a problem getting over his alleged letting a rapist free only to do it again. I heard he pardoned a dangerous individual who inflicted harm. I also hear he is pro immigrant which goes against my belief on that issue. So, if you can site your source I would be grateful.

anyone called taxhike mike by his own constituents is not worthy to be president -you would think that with 50 percent off the welfare rolls there would be more than enough new tax revenue to cover a states budget without having to increase taxes again and again...etc -
