You could argue many different ones but, in sheer, actual one-hit groups, you have many(even though some would say they are not Rock)

I would say Guns & Roses had Two Great Albums before they self-destructed Recommend.
The two best ones I have ever heard by far far and away are
Montrose-Montrose (1976)
The Four Horsemen-Nobody Said It Was Easy (1990)

Guns N' Roses. I won't say their other albums were extremely bad, but they're not comparable to the first.

well the union underground because they only made one cd that was absolutely amazing and then they broke up and never made music together again. i would recommend their cd (...an education in rebellion) to anyone though......
also in my opinon, drowning pool, the album Sinner was incredible and one of the best cds i have ever listened to, then after the extrodinary dave williams passed away, there was no way he could be replaced......none are as good as him...drowning pool isnt the same anymore....
