When i try to install my sound...it says it cannot find the right software to update my sound driver...I says it is trying to install a Multimedia Audio Controller. Please help! i have no clue what to do..... because my stupid sound won't work! THANKS!

Is ur sound card onboard or expansion card. if onboard, place the motherboard CD in cdrom and select audio drivers for the OS u r using and get it installed. If it is an expansion card and have a cd for that card, place in cdrom and install drivers. Else delete/uninstall the multimedia audio controller showing in the device manager and refresh after placing correct CD. If u did'nt have correct cd visit any drivers site and get drivers or send me ur card details so that i can send u the links.

First you may need to disable the existing audio driver. Go into Device Manager and look under Audio or Sound devices. Then you can either uninstall or disable the existing device. Your new device will have a CD with the new driver on it. Make sure the CD is in the drive when you start up with the new sound card fitted.
If the existing sound card is on the motherboard you may need to disable it in the BIOS (although mine was on the motherboard but I didn't have to do that).
