it is the cube root of 8 to the negative -2 power

cube root of 8=2 2^-2= 4 but you are dealing with a negative so instead of 4 you you take the reciprocal 1/4

first you take cude root of 8 which is 2, then you square it and because it has a negative power you take the reciprocal of it...
8^(-2/3)
2*(-2)
4*(-1)=1/4
