I have a 2001 Saturn SL2. The "coolant reservoir low" light is on when I start my car from cold. I have a bottle of that special coolant (DEX something) for Saturn. But it is like 4 years old sitting in my garage. It has a orange color. I am just wondering if I can still use it or I should buy new one. thanks.

Some anti-freeze can't b mixed 2gether- if u already have the orange - it's OK - I would stay away from the green - butt that's my opinion. There is also a yellow .

There's no shelf life for most petroleum products. They'll last forever.

Mix it with distilled water 50/50 so you get the right antifreeze and coolant mixture.

I've seen dummies pour in the new stuff without having diluted it and this is a set up for overheating and sluggish water pump problems in the dead of winter.

Good Luck!

It should be fine to use. I have the same car as you and I've used Dex-cool that's kind of old before.
