If this range is less than 10 years old, it's not the thermocouple, it's the glo igniter that services the oven. The igniter is made of ceramic material and sometimes sustains a small crack, (in normal use), and from then on will not let the proper electrical current flow through it to the gas safety valve at the rear of the broiler area. This is not a terribly difficult repair if you're moderately handy and have a few tools. You'll need a phillips screwdriver, a 1/4 & 5/16 inch hex nut driver and a pair of wire cutter/strippers. Check the igniter by turning the oven selector to bake and turn up the temp. control to 350. Look in the bottom of the range to see if there's an orange glowing lite. If not then it's definitely broken, if it is glowing and it still doesn't lite, then get the model no. of the range and call your friendly major appliance parts supply house and get an oven igniter. It'll cost you around $60.

Check you house cir breakers. Your oven runs on 220 volts and is seperate from the cooking top. Sounds like a tripped breaker.
