It is a peugeot 407 tdi estate auto with 70000 miles on clock. It seems fine in all other aspects of driving, but a bit scary if want to nip away!

firstly check the fluid level in the reservoir, if that is full to the mark then have the engine management relays controlling your acceleration checked

Have it checked out by your local Peugeot dealer, driving a car with a power delay must be scary indeed !!! its a free service.

Maybe the low gear solenoid has failed. Try and see what happens if you pull away in Low (1) instead of Drive.

its a peugeot, man u want power get a beemer, :) or just take it 2 a mechanic shop i recommed MOTEST,
