This sounds like a sodium imbalance. You should have stopped menstruating once you went on the pill. If this was your problem in the first place, this has not corrected it. Let's see if we can't help you.
You can get some orange juice or a sport drink and pour a nice tall glass and drink it up. The sodium or potassium should help you retain your water. This might make you terribly thirsty, so try and drink it slowly, a little bit at a time. You can always go back for more. With such a heavy period, you should slow down but you might not stop completely. It might turn brown and come in fits and spurts, but there should be an improvement. Then, get up in the morning and pour another glass. You should do much better after that. If you're still bleeding heavily, be all means, get more.
You should be anemic, which would leave you strung out. This might make you feel rather sleepy and bloated. Don't let that upset you. Your digestion might be off, so give it a couple of days to improve. Let's get this under control. After you've done that, you should start to feel much better.
I hope this helps you.

no.. thats not normal at all. You so go and see a gynacologist... and you may want to consider getting off birth control. Periods aren't that fun.
