hi I've just bought a 1'16th scale model soldier and i want to no how to paint creases on the uniform thanks martin

1/16th scale is nice and large to work with...

For painting the folds and creases in the uniform, I obviously paint the base-uniform color first, and then add a tiny bit of black to that color and paint the creases. I also will add a hint of white to the base-color and "dry-brush" across the high-points of the uniform to increase the contrast.

I use enamel paints mostly, so you need to be gentle so as not to disturb the base-color.

Oil paints dry MUCH slower, so it is easier to blend the colors... but I find oils too expensive and difficult to clean up after.

DO stop by a good model-hobby shop and look for a book on painting figures... OR just buy a copy of "Fine Scale Modeller"

I use a fine point felt tip marker for detail work.
