What the hell????????

With all due respect, the first two respondents have got it wrong.

"The National Football League's Thanksgiving Classic is a series of games played during the Thanksgiving holiday in the United States. "

"The Lions have hosted a game each year since 1934 (excluding the years 1939-1944 due to World War II)."

"The first owner of the Lions, G.A. Richards, started the tradition of the Thanksgiving Day game as a gimmick to get people to go to Lions football games."

It was a tradition and they still continue it today. Most of the time they lost even though it was at home. They lost most of the games from 1960 - 2006 well now 2007. We will wait and see but here's the chances.
Detroit Lions have a 43% chance of winning
Green Bay Packers have a 67% chance of winning mostly because of FAVRE.
