All HDTVs these days have HDMI connectors. However, if you mount your TV on a wall, wouldn't be nice not to have to drill holes for HDMI cables and send the signal wirelessly from your DVD player to the TV? (most of these solutions use Ultrawideband wireless).

Well, it looks like there is no such a big market for that, plus in a cutthroat TV business adds too much cost to the TV.
Plus, if you will drill a hole for power, you might as well put that HDMI cable there...
