ok--you went to school and learned baking--do you know anything about business? I owned a bakery for 3 years in New Jersey and you need: Money to buy the business (plus legal fees and licences) money for the landlord (rent, insurance), money for inventory (what items are you going to sell?), money for payroll (your employees), money for office supplies (tables and chairs, file cabinets, paper, pencils, phone, fax, cleaning products, rags, brooms, mops), money for sales supplies (bags, napkins, plates, cups, silverware) and money for utilities (gas, electric, water, sewer, trash pickup). These are JUST THE BASICS--and you will need ALL OF THIS **BEFORE** you ever open your doors for the first customer. In addition, you will need a QUALITY baker, and you will need to have him in by 4 AM to bake enough for the store to open 6 AM for the early crowd, and you will need a counter employee in by 5:30 AM to prepare coffee, heat the grill, set up the register, and turn on the lighting, and you will need to be open SEVEN DAYS A WEEK. Later on you will need an accountant to do your books and your taxes. Are you READY to do all that ?

America uses the Yellow Pages.
