Santa can and always will be real in your heart. Don't forget that. When you stop believing in Santa - thats when he will no longer exist. You will someday understand what I mean. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and a very wonderful Christmas!!!!

Santa as a person that lives at the North Pole and flies around the world on Christmas Eve is not real.
The idea of Santa Claus or St Nicholas as a "spirit of secret giving" however, is very real.
When you fill up a bag of canned food to take to a food bank, or give a toy to a needy child, that's Santa Claus, because the people who receive the things don't know who gave them.
When your parents hide presents and say they are from Santa Claus, those presents are really from that spirit of secret giving to you in their hearts, and they just want to see the happiness the "Santa presents" give to you.
When you secretly give someone a present or a card just to make them feel good, and you don't tell them who it's from because you just wanted to brighten their day and you don't need a "thank you", then that's your inner Santa Claus, even if it's July.
Adults have created the representation of Santa Claus as a man because it's hard to explain the spirit of giving to kids sometimes.
I am an adult and I still give "Santa presents" to my family because sometimes it's wonderful to just give without needing a 'thank you'.

He is based on St. Nicholas (read here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_Nicholas ). Santa Claus, also known as Saint Nicholas, Father Christmas, Kris Kringle, or simply "Santa" is a historical, legendary and mythological character associated with bringing gifts on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. The popular North American form Santa Claus originated as a mispronunciation of Dutch Sinterklaas, which in turn is a contracted form of Sint Nicolaas (Saint Nicholas). However, the Dutch Sinterklaas is different from Santa Claus in many ways. The Dutch word for Santa Claus is Kerstman ("Christmas man"). Santa Claus has a suit that comes in many colors depending on the country. The most common depiction (red with white sleeves, collar, and belt) became the more popular image in the United States in the mid-to-late 19th century.

Hi
Santa Claus who flies in the air on Christmas Eve with raindeer popping down chiminy,s and wears a read suit and lives at the North Pole
IS ALL MADE UP sorry
but There was a man Named Nicholas and he lived about maybe five hundred years before in Europe and he used to give to the Poor people around December the 6th
but the other Santa is all made up by people and if I had Children I would not let them believe in the Fly around on Christmas Eve with Raindeer with a bag full of Presents but I would tell them what Nicholas did
because letting your children believe in Santa Claus is a big insult to Jesus I think
How old are you???

The true story of Santa Claus begins with Nicholas, who was born during the third century in the village of Patara. At the time the area was Greek and is now on the southern coast of Turkey. His wealthy parents, who raised him to be a devout Christian, died in an epidemic while Nicholas was still young. Obeying Jesus' words to "sell what you own and give the money to the poor," Nicholas used his whole inheritance to assist the needy, the sick, and the suffering. He dedicated his life to serving God and was made Bishop of Myra while still a young man. Bishop Nicholas became known throughout the land for his generosity to the those in need, his love for children, and his concern for sailors and ships.

Sorry to brake it to you no he isn't. Your parents give you the gifts and stuff and eat your cookies and milk and reindeer treats. But he is also kinda real in a way because Saint Nick
is real and he use to give out presents on this day. I found that out when I was in 4th grade and I am in 6th right now.

Santa is very real. His name is Saint Nicolas, Papa Noel, Baba Natale and so many others. By keeping his memory alive he's as real as can be. Enjoy your Christmas and remember that there are those who have never heard his name.
The next time you see an old person, remember that they too believe Santa is real.
By Granddad's whiskers may you always enjoy the feeling that Santa is close by.

Santa's not real. Seriously. Your parents are the ones who go out and get those gifts for you. Santa was some character based on someguy who gave gifts to poor kids or something like that. He's not a real person, just a character used to amuse kids around this time of year. Idk why ppl tell kids that he is real. I guess cause they get some kind of pleasure in seeing kids cry when they find out that what they've believed in for all these years is a lie.

Yes. Not physically, but he is a spirit and your parents work for him. Santa does not live at the north pole with elves. He lives in some other world and your parents are his elves.
