Depends what part of Christmas you want to cancel. I avoid people completely for about 2 weeks over the Christmas period, but I still give/send cards to everyone, presents to a few.

My 2 beeeeautiful weeks on holiday from work - no way would I cancel that. :D

Hardly. I cancelled Xmas in my personal life years ago. I party heavily for both the solstice and the new year, but have decided that Xmas should be a religious holiday only celebrated by Xians in their homes and churches on Advent Sunday. December 25th should not be any kind of holiday and as far as govt. offices, schools, and major businesses are concerned it should be business as usual.

well, it's just Dec. 25 for us... and a Chinese buffet for lunch followed by a family movie, since there's not much else for Jewish people to do that day with all the stores and businesses closed! Merry Christmas and Happy Chanukah to my "lansmen"!

I do too.
All of my family are going to be out of Christmas-Eve through Christmas.
My cousin that lives far away is only coming to visit for like three days (leaving on Christmas day).
We're probably just going to celebrate on Christmas-Eve because no one's going to be here on Christmas day,

It's not bad. But that was how it was last year for me. It was pretty lame |=(

why would you want to do that think of all the disappointed children, i live on my own and have no children but i wold not want to cancel Christmas. it gives me a great chance to do some decorating whilst the duck is cooking in the oven.
