Good point, to win/lose is not the objective US has intended to achieve in any wars after, including Nam. Even a well planned, quick and Precisely executed operations like Desert Storm, ended with out removing Saddam? Sadly casualties are not a major concern either. A prolonged conflict is what desired.

Regards.

The Army gave it's first Silver Star for Nintendo War last summer.

A soldier in Iraq working with the Predator Drones used his thumbs on a joy stick controller above and beyond the call of duty.

They think a few airstrikes will cripple Iran's nuclear program for good and embolden domestic opposition to the mullahs, causing the public to rise up and end the theocratic rule in Iran.

The same way the Iraqis rose up and turned Saddamn over to face justice and killed all of the baathists after we launched a few airstrikes against Iraq......oh wait, none of that happened, and we're still bogged down fighting on behalf of those installed to run the Mideast's newest theocracy, the one in Iraq.

The NEOCONS care not for human lives,American nor Iranian! My firm belief is that when congress cuts the funding for the IRAC war,the NEOCONS will sacrifice the 5th fleet in the gulf with a first strike on the NUKE factory in IRAN,swear that The Iranians struck first, then we will have a war,a BIG war,and all the funding that goes with it! The 5th fleet is obsolete and is to be decommissioned in a couple of years, why not sink it,and cry"another pearl harbor"! If you can't believe the twin towers fell straight down with only airplane strikes, on their own, then you are with the rest of us "HARD-THINKERS",who see things for what they are,INSIDE JOBS! If 9-11 was an inside job,the rest of this mess was planned, and we are in for a dismal future!God help us!

Yes, they do.

But they probably thought the same thing with the war in Iraq. But 5 years later we are still fighting this needless war.
