I once had a colleague who was going to visit the boss and his wife, the wife being an Indian lady. He was seriously delayed by the fact that he felt he had to go back to the shop exchange the box of chocolates he had bought. The make was "Black Magic".
The minister of our West-Indian church was recounting an anecdote one Palm Sunday about a donkey he had come across in his native island and he stopped to apologise publicly to me and my better half, the only white people in the congregation, because, unfortunately, it was a white donkey!
I don't suppose that the boss's wife would have connected those chocolates with herself any more than we felt any connection between us and the donkey!
In some countries "he" and "she" are banned in official documents. Even in the context of childbirth, the woman has to be referred to as "they" to avoid the offensive word "she".

My God where do I start!
In the Summer a boy had a birthday party thrown for him at his own house by his parents. The theme was pirates (as he was into Pirates of the Caribbean) and it took place in their back garden. His parents put up a pirate flag (skull and crossbones) and within an hour official people (dont know where they were from) came round with a written document demanding the flag was taken down as it could be construed as offensive!!!!! Unbelievable, offensive to who? Pirates? Pathetic and it totally ruined that little boys birthday!
Also I heard that they were thinking of banning "piggy bank" money boxes as muslims dont eat pork and find it offensive?? Unbelievable!
There is a pub not far from me called "The Pig". It has been there for many years. A mosque was built opposite it a couple of years ago and the pub was "done up". They decided to change the sign for the pub car park to read "porking" instead of parking (as the pub is called The Pig). Anyway apparently this was complained about as it was offensive to the muslims and as the pub landlord wouldn't change it, he was given an asbo!

besides the actuality that i assumed it grew to become into extraordinarily ridiculous while human beings protested Tropic Thunder --a movie it quite is humorous in basic terms by using fact of this is political incorrectness. i think of a few all human beings is indignant by potential of particular words or sayings by using fact they are in actuality offensive. collectively as earlier it could have been ok to declare issues like "you're appearing like a girl" or "this is gay", we are actually at a era in time as quickly as we are attempting to be tolerant and cope with surely all human beings the two. This purpose turns into greater good while human beings throw around quite offensive sayings. i comprehend i'm responsible of announcing "this is gay" (plenty) and that i comprehend i might desire to offer up.

Of course it was a lot of hot air about nothing..
there was no reference and the q was probably based on a urban legend rumour that has surfaced around this time of year for the past few years. It is not real. It is a load of hot air.
But it's a good story to bash the 'liberals' and the 'pc brigade'

In Bolton you get fined 50 quid and made to watch Bolton for a whole season as punishment if you're heard by police calling manholes manholes - they should be called personholes.
