My sister told me it help to stop them from fading...does it?
Also, is it ok to leave zip up tops unzipped? I do all the time but my mother says they might get caught or something...in the washing machine.

-Thanks-

Turning your jeans inside out will help to keep them from fading, yes. And your mother's right, it is best if you close the zippers on your tops to be absolutely sure they won't get caught on anything.

Years ago. Levi's 501 "shrink to fit" used to mark up as they bounced around the tub of the washer. Start to look like a bad stone wash, so they turned them inside out. But 501s used to fade like crazy and had to be washed alone for the first few times. It took a lot of washes for them to look right.

I think washing them in cold water keeps them from fading. I zip all zippers and close all hooks before I wash them. Sometimes the bra hooks get caught on other things.

yes it does. I always wash jeans inside out. I do zips up on tops so the tops dont get pulled out of shape.
