i have a small propane tank that runs my home stove and i can't get the line to unscrew from the tank. the way it is setup a line can go over the nozzle or inside the nozzle and i don't know which way yo turn it and it is striped off bad. i tried vise grips and broke them. any sugestions?

Call a plumber , yes a plumber . This can be very dangerous and it sounds like you need to replace a few things so you have a safe stove to cook on.

You have to turn it to the right to get it off. Spray some wd-40 on the threads, let it set for a bit and try the vise grips again.

typically propane has reverse threads.......righty loosey lefty tighty, instead of the old righty tighty.....

remember propane tank connection threads are "LEFT" hand threads Not "RIGHT" hand threads

try a pipe wrench!
