Just thought I'd be nice and give away 10 free points. Don't do any research, give me the answer you have. If you have the correct answer then write it here, or if not guess. No research is allowed. If you research, then there are probably people who know it before you and they'll beat you to it. Only the first correct answer gets the 10 points. By the way, I shall be monitoring this question every other minute, so don't think you can cheat with me and write something quick, answering the question, so that you've landed your mark and have time to research your answer. Just give me what you got, first correct answer gets the 10 free points in 4 hours.

Let the games begin!

The only team to have a winning record over the Yankees in the Joe Torre era are the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. I don't know about all-time though. Good question, it seems you've stumped a lot of people.

No Team, and I'm answering the question you asked and not the question everyone else postulated you asked. The Yankees have the best record in the history of baseball (of major league teams still in existence), not only in number of wins but in win % also. But there were 3 defeunct teams in the 1800's, that have have a better win % over the Yankees, but each of those teams played less than 300 games their entire history.

I just did the reaserch for a previous question, that's how I know the answer. So I should get the 10 points, because I'm the only one to answer the question you asked.

Now if when you ask what team(s), if any, has a better record head to head against the Yankees, then I will answer that question.

Through the 2007 season, the Angels have the edge over the Yankees. As far as World Series competition goes, the Cardinals are 3-2 against New York.

It's probably the Rockies, because they've only played each other six times, and the Yankees are 2-4 against them.

Arizona beat the Yanks in the World Series, but the Yankees have whomped them good during the regular season.

Taking the entire history of the franchise back to the 1901 Baltimore Orioles, there are two teams that have a winning record against the Yankees in regular season play.

Both teams are 1-2, .333, against the Yanx.

And that's all I'm gonna say about it. (Yes, I looked things up. Yes, I did know one of them before that. I'm glad to let Someone Else get the points, as I've already had my fun here.)

Well, as any Yankees fan will tell you, the only team that matters is the Red Sox. But, for some strange reason, the Angels are always finding ways to beat us, especially in Anahiem.

Yanks have a winning record against everyone in the AL, so if there is a team it must be an NL team. I'd say you can eliminate the Dodgers and the Giants, the Yanks owned them in the World Series. So I'd say it's either the Cards or an expansion NL team.

If you are talking about the 07 season I know at least the Indians and the Red Sox won more games. I'm thinkin the Angels probably did too.
