...next time there is a gathering of such...get out the cell phone or video recorder and make like you're just recording the festivities....if their behavior is bad, they will see that during a sober play back...may or may not help...good luck

Unless they're being abusive (which some drunks get - there are different types, you know, the friends with everyone drunk, the fighting drunk, the angry drunk, the happy, carefree drunk), just tease them in a playful way. That'll keep their stupidity to a minimum because people who are into public drunkenness are usually looking for attention. Give it to them and they'll be happy. It's a problem they have, but you don't need to make it any worse by being missionary or beligerent about it.

I've never had that problem, but I would ask them to leave. And if they didn't I'd get someone to escort them out the door.

Tell them ahead of time.....non alcoholic dinner.....if they come smashed, show them the door.
Edit.....since it is their house, you have the option to not attend
