I really had to think about this one. I've had 2 happiest moments, actually. One moment was when I discovered that acupuncture is an effective method of pain relief, without the side effects of medication. The other moment was just recently, when it was announced that Arkansas champion Jermain Taylor would have a rematch with Pavlik, the man who won Jermain's title in a championship bout not too long ago. Mr. Taylor is a young black man that the entire state of Arkansas can be proud of, an asset to our home state. He chose a positive way out of a poor childhood. He hasn't been arrested for anything, lives a good life, is good to the women in his life, and is a shining example to all of Arkansas' poor young people that you don't have to sell drugs, yourself, or others, or commit crimes of any kind to make it. If he never wins another fight, I will still be proud of him. I am a 54 year old white woman who happens to love a few particular sports, boxing, kickboxing, mixed martial arts, etc. Mr. Taylor is the best at what he does. He is showing the way to other young people of Arkansas.

Coming out of the closet to a trusted colleague in August. Now most people I work with know. But that day, I floated home. such a heavy weight had been lifted from my shoulders and the depression I've felt every day for as long as I can remember vanished. Never felt it since either. It's wonderful.
NOW I understand why the term 'gay' is used.

It has to be the day I got Willow!
She came out of this barn the rescue fosterer was keeping her in barking at my Hubby, walked over to me and immediately pushed her head against my hand and I looked into her eyes and knew she was Mine! I've had dogs for over 50 years and this is the first time I've every felt like this. (Normally my Husband is first in any dogs life) If anyone calls her she always looks at me as if to ask 'should I go?' and won't until I tell her OK.
May sound silly but when you get to my age most things in life aren't that good!

Getting home from school the day I was gonna go on vacation. A lot of great stuff happened on my vacation but getting home from school was when it really set in that I was going and it gave me a chance to dream a little about what it was gonna be like.
