Computer Help?

My computer has been acting very strangely in the past week. Whenever I'm on my computer for more than 20-30 minutes, my background freezes and all the icons disappear. When I exit a program, the image of the program gets frozen on the background... Any help?

Could be a power supply problem. Check to make sure all your cooling fans are working, When computer components get overheated, they can start acting erratically.
