I posted a question asking people's opinions on pontiac grand am's and i am dissappointed with the results. everybody hates on them for a whole bunch of reasons and i do not know why. every car is going to have issues at some point so i dont know why people are telling me that my grand am will have major problems. it has new tires, breaks, rotors, water pump, fuel filter and gas tank. is there really anything about grand am's that is THAT bad??? its a 99 with only 60K and its in mint condition

Generation X thinks that the only good kind of car is built in Asia. Guess what? Generation X doesn't know what they're talking about.

Your Pontiac is a fine car. _All_ cars have their unique issues, your Pontiac included.

Maintain your car and it will last as long as any other.

There are better cars second from the bottom of Pontiac's line up Grand Am's are everywhere. Production of front wheel drive 2.4 liter and 3.1 liter grand Am's must be over 3.5 million units. Pontiac's sedan line up before 2003 Sunfire Grand AM and GT. Grand Prix SE, GT and GTP and Bonneville and SE. I owned a 1997 Grand Prix GTP and loved it. Now I own a 2006 GTO six speed Love it even more two years and 14,000 miles which should be quite rare only not many were imported from Holden Australia.

Research the term "mint condition" as it relates to automobiles and you will find that your Pontiac falls far short of it.

I personally don't like how they look or handle but if it's what you want, get it.
