Is it true that we let attractive people get away with more than we would a not so attractive person?

Like in a relationship, why do we let the attractive ones hurt us over and over again, but won't even give the not so attractive ones a chance?

And in legal issues and jobs, we seems to let the attracitive people slide more than anyone else.

Is this human nature or just the way society has conformed?

It's the way society has conformed sadly. :( I don't like it either. I know this from experience, as I'm constantly passed over by women as they rush for assholes who abuse them and treat them like ****. It happens all the time. I do it too.

In relationships, I treat more attractive women better. I know I shouldn't, but I can't help but want them to stay around me. They get away with a lot. I've let a very attractive, bi-racial woman walk all over me, just because of how damn exotic she looked. She was amazing though. *sigh*

Also, you can argue that not only are attractive people let off the hook more, but that they get many more opportunities. Think of how we (myself and you included) treat people based on looks. They have much more confidence because of this. They're more likely to ask questions in college, take chances on jobs, and more likely to be bold and brash.

It's all about the importance we place on physical beauty. Thank the advertising and movie industry. But, there's no solution that I can see, so this is all useless intellectual mastubation... And by the way, I should be doing my literary analysis right now. Damn!

It may be true but don't forget, you can't get by on looks alone, we all get old. As you age no matter how "attractive" you used to be, your inner true self will show through. An ugly mind makes a ugly face.It all equals out in the end.

Yes. Good looking people are given preferential treatment in most any situation when people can see each other. We usually don't mean to discriminate, but we do so instinctively on a subconscious level. If you'd like to learn more, google "lookism".
