Yes in fact I have.........but for some reason even though I love Christmas..........I feel bad for all those trees. Dying a slow death,.........in the house slowly drying up. It just goes to show........the turkeys have it pretty good. It is quick and over for them. If you think things are bad for you.........there is always someone out there that has it worse.

When you spray disinfectant in your toilet, do you stop for a moment and sorta feel sorry for all those germs?

Remember, there's room for ALL of God's little creatures, right next to the mashed potatoes.

PETA, People Eating Tasty Animals

We've been having ToFurkey feasts for the last 2 years.

Corporate farming of turkeys is one of the most disgusting, inhumane practices in the world today.

If you saw how that bird was raised and knew it was fed a diet of ground up dead cows, turkey crap, corn, steroids and antibiotics you'd never eat another one again.

Totally gross!

Those poor genetically modified turkeys. I actually feel sorry for those eating the frankenbirds.

No...

The turkeys deserve everything they're about to recie...oh, you mean the POULTRY turkeys.

In that case...no. In *most* operations, the slaughter is humane and painless (because adrenal products give a funky taste to the meat). Besides, they are specifically bred for this, and again, most operations treat their animals humanely, in order to stay in business.

I do. I feel very conflicted about the whole thing. As a rule I don't eat meat, just on special occasions such as today. But I know I'm compromising myself for something tasty and I don't feel great about it. I hope that someday I can walk away from meat completely and stick with it. Just because something brings pleasure, that doesn't make it ok.

Only for a second or two, I spend more time considering how to cook it and if I will get it right.
