if an pbject has a mass of 30g and a denstiy of 1.5 g/cm3 what is its volume?

Density = mass /volume

volume = mass/density = 30/1.5 = 20 cm^3

I remember a trick I used often in chemistry or physics during my studies.
If you know the unit of your answer, you can arrange the different compounds along with its units in your equation that it fits with the unit of the answer.
If you want to get cm3 and you have g and g/cm3 you need to divide g by g/cm3 or multiply by cm3/g to eliminate them and cm3 stays.
When it hasn't changed in the meantime, 1 cm3 is 1 mL and 1 mL is the volume of 1 g of water at 4°C.
