I am sure God didn't go around choking all the first born in Egypt just because they didn't speak Hebrew

I like the concept. There is no need to exaggerate Animal Farm as it deals nicely with its subject without the need for exaggeration.

We've already written a history over exaggerated. American History was written by the white rich winners of everything. Read Howard Zinn's a people history of the United States and you get the other side of the story. The story from those that lost during history and you will see the contrast.

Also, a little over exaggeration with the 1000 times things. And being that the bible is a sacred book and America likes to push the boundaries of what is sacred I'm not so sure it wants its own bible.

Actually, I think the best way the Bible was ever described was that history used to be ORAL (in that stories were passed down, generation to generation). Now history is written.

The Bible is also set in the time period of BC (Before Christ) so before our current calander began. Therefore, some of the ways that the stories are told, reflect this.

It has travelled up through the ages, and written over repeatly so it simply makes sense to have some of it exaggerated. However, in that thought--parts are also eliminated.

From this pt of view, re-look at your question. Would the Animal Farm, a storybook created by a famous author who wrote a political commentary as a simple Children's story--be able to compete with an actual historical series of events, a long-standing religion and hundreds of years of wars based on the believe of GOD, would it stand up over the years? & If so, what would we believe in long-term?

Unlike the Bible, the story, does not have scientific proof to at least create circumstanial evidence behind it. It also does not incite whole groups of individuals to come together to praise it nor to build multi-million dollar institutions to do so in.

Animal Farm was and is a long-standing commentary on how the author viewed the political soliology of the time period. It is nothing more or less.

The Bible was never intended to be a history book,
Saying that...
The historical contents of the Bible have, according to secular historians, never been cooroborated by archaeology and other ancient history diciplines.
And, this conclution is also very questionable seeing that secular historians have a secular AGENDA to support.
Please look for my upcoming Bokk entitled "...And Nothing But the Truth...: The Bible History They Don'y Want You to Know"
Now in the process of being negociated with the publishing house and hopefully will be out sometime before next summer

The bible is a history book and a book of direction on how to live and treat others, i.e. the 10 step program for man.

Israel's have had little influence on the bible to my knowledge.

As for animal farm, it is a book a good book, but one you didn't read or understand the meaning of I fear. Try watching Charlotte's web on TV, it is the same message for kids.

Piggies (Harrison)

Have you seen the little piggies
Crawling in the dirt
And for all the little piggies
Life is getting worse
Always having dirt to play around in.

Have you seen the bigger piggies
In their starched white shirts
You will find the bigger piggies
Stirring up the dirt
Always have clean shirts to play around in.

In their styes with all their backing
They don't care what goes on around
In their eyes there's something lacking
What they need's a damn good whacking.

Everywhere there's lots of piggies
Living piggy lives
You can see them out for dinner
With their piggy wives
Clutching forks and knives to eat their bacon.

The Bible is not a history book. It is the word of God.

Sounds like He's inviting you. I'd accept, but it's your choice.

belligerent assistant: The Old Testament is in BC, the New Testament is obviously after Christ was born.

Nah. The Bill of Rights and Declaration of Independence are cartoon enough, thanks.

PS, you have the wrong idea about the Bible. No surprise there, though.

Wasn't Animal Farm written by an Englishman? It was a simple explanation of communism and fascism. Oh, I see. You are talking about the neocons and the filthy rich. Yes, they are more equal than others. No exaggeration needed.
