We just do like the Mexicans do paint big signs at the border saying "Yankee Go Home" or "****** Go Home". Of course there is the middle eastern favourite "Death to America" sign but I feel that this is too strong a statement for Canadians maybe if we Canadianise it "Hope you get sick to America". Nope not quite right either.
But if you REALLY want to keep the Americans out tell them that they CANN'T use their money in Canada because of the low value of their dollar and really screw them on the exchange rate.

I am an American that comes into Canadian waters on a regular basis as a sports fisherman. I live in Port Townsend, WA. I buy a BC fishing license, buy fuel and supplies in your country. Even though the USD is spiraling downhill against the CND I still impact your economy and with pleasure. Like I said I sport fish and I release all the fish caught in your waters so the future Canadian fisherman may have a chance to catch the same trophy fish that I have released. Some of the things that go on in the USA I don't agree with, but still proud of my country and respect yours.

Why on earth wouldn't you want Americans to come to the Games? Aren't they among the biggest money-spenders, and, after all, isn't that what hosting the games is all about?
Aren't they among the best athletes?
Yeah, there's plenty of idiots, but then, they aren't usually the ones who go to events like that..they do, however, seem to get out to vote...LOL

Why would you want to do that? Have you ever thought about our economy? About making back some of the millions that we put into the Winter games?!

Well, since I live here and have no problem with them the use of the word "we" needs to be clarified. You and your friends, you assuming for the rest of us, or....? Your comment relates only to you, if you do not want them around you then perhaps you should leave for the few weeks of the games.

Kirsten,
You don't want Americans there. You think everyone there is poor, drug users, or nasty immigrants, based on past questions.
Why are you living there then?
In my opinion, you should invite all the Americans to come up there with their guns and help clean out the wild wild west Vancouver area....or just stay home, lock your doors and windows, and just come out in Spring when the doggy doo starts melting.

i don't mind the intelligent ones coming up here, as long as they spend lots where i work, it means less lay offs in the winter slow season for our part timers. :)

Would have thought you would have the sense to realize that anyone and everyone who comes to the games will be adding to your economy. Why not take an extended vacation during the games if it would upset you that much. Just don;t go to the US as they may not want you there.

Anyone who owns a business in Canada would wholeheartedly disagree with you. Why wouldn't everyone up here want to take American's $$?
