i've been feeling pretty down lately.
a lot of things with my boyfriend, my work, my college classes.
just very overwhelmed and like nothings going the way its supposed to!
anyone have an ideas that or things that I could do to cheer me up a little?

Look Sweetie....we all have these times...and we will have more, life is good.....don't dwell on what you don't have or want.......think about what you do have, the best thing you can do to help yourself,is do something really nice (out of the box) for someone else. I know you have heard this before, but it really helps.................try it....really blow someone away with an act of kindness.......DO IT!

Becka, I'm sorry you're feeling down right now. You can feel better by changing how you are viewing life. Often we begin to think negatively, and then it begins a downward spiral.

Try finding the good things in your life (yes,there are some) and dwelling on them. The other stuff won't last forever, and as you begin to realize what is important in your life, the rest won't carry so much weight.

Cognitive distortions cause us to think negatively. Using words like "nothing" and "supposed to" are indicators of erroneous thinking. On the link below, in the top of the psychotherapy forum is a list of 10 common cognitive distortions. I think it might help you rearrange some of the ways you think about things. Good wishes.

Sometimes when you are down just sit out in the sun for awhile even if you need a warm jacket and just soak in those wrays, watch as all the people hustle by and imagine where each one if off to. This helps you to forget where you are going for awhile and puts you in someone else shoes. It also helps you appreciate yours because as you know there are some who always have it worse than we do. Just give it try, I love the Sun Shine, Its like a Gift from God!!!

each and every morning you awaken, look your desirable. once you look sturdy you experience sturdy approximately your self. Be around useful people. pals who make you chortle and smile. do no longer turn down invitations to circulate places. do no longer stay in mattress watching television. Your mattress room is for sound asleep. Take long walks. exercising is super on your physique and your suggestions. Take care and don't supply up!

Have some time to yourself to think and reflect. Keep a journal and write your feelinds down. Exercise (go to the gym or go for a run). If you're a christian, pray and read your Bible and talk to God. Hope this helps.

inflation in the system makes everything seem like its not working.... maybe you are trying to do to many things....
