war gives jobs to individuals and trains them to be the country's next leaders. Sometimes it even provides free education and trianing to them as well as providing them the American dream of a home (used to allow you to buy a house for $1 down), responsibilities, a family, a good life as part of a community, etc. but you have to make the contacts yourself sometimes to get what you need. Some people don't know where to look or how to get those. Also, people who support the war effort like transportation, trucks, making parts and airplanes and such have work/jobs as well. With so many people working even though it's wartime the economy is good.

War is always beneficial in the eyes of the victor. I am sure people who believe in Fascism or Communism didn't see things that way, or people in Africa (Angola etc) where war just led from one corrupt President/Leader to another corrupt President/Leader. I am just offering another viewpoint - I am neither fascist, Nazi communists or anything other than an everyday person, - so has war benefited me? yes because I continue to live the kind of life I choose and not one that is chosen for me. However, I do believe war solves nothing in a positive way - there is always too great a cost, and nine times out of ten it is only the corrupt that benefit. An old saying states - you make a million from the birth of a country or the fall of a country.

If you are referring to the end of slave selling, then a war didn't do that, a President did that. The same goes to the ideals of fascism, Nazism communism. War doesn't stop any of these things. It's the ideals that world leaders have that does that. Or other people with power behind their thoughts, such as the Dali Lama who is all about world peace. All war does is show which world leader is angrier than the the other and has the power to send bombs. And we lose so many of our loved ones... both sides. War is never the answer, the cost is too high and no one wins.

The human animal will always look for a way to make sense of it's environment. Slavery, Nazism, and the above mentioned is a doorway to war- We as a species will always choose to die on our feet, rather than live on our knees. It will inevitably bring about our complete undoing.

True!!! I have lost too many people that I love in the current war, I support our troops, but I want as many as possible to come home safe as well. I realize that there is much good that is coming out of the current war but geez do we have to loose soo many to have that happen?

It is a very good question. On one hand I am emencely proud of the men and women who defend this country and protect people in other countries who are unable to protect themselves but there has got to be a better way than to have a brunch of people get together and simply kill each other.

Your statement is true, excluding(Slavery, Fascism, Nazism and Communism) I've seen no Benefit from War, its a waste. I want our troops to come. A.S.A.P.

Educate myself how(if your talking about me) I support our troops, if your thinking I dont. But nothing comes out of war, but death, debt, and misery as we've seen from this war.

It's good in some ways but still, the cons outweigh the pros.
