We made a restart in safe mode before for how many times. Then after restarting in safe mode and clicking the administrator's name, we restarted in normal mode. Since then when we open the internet, there is like a grinding sound from the box of the pc. What is it or what is the cause? Could it be because of restarting the PC in safe for how many times? If so, how can we fix it?
(We are only using now the PC of our boss. She gave us permission to post this question so we can read and make changes of our PC as well if anyone here could give a good solution. We thank you all in advance).

Guess: I think the appearance of the grinding noise and the whole safe mode thing occurred by coincidence more or less at the same moment. I think something in the case has physically come lose, and from your description, I think the fan is the most likely culprit. Operate it with the case open and do the thing which usually produces the sound. Be careful when doing this. There's a very heavy electrical charge in certain internal parts which can give a nasty shock or even electrocute. Look, don't touch while it's plugged in. Once you isolate the sound source, diconnect the computer from current, and carefully retighten whatever is rattling of rubbing.

Is it a grinding noise or a squeaking noise?

Squeaking means the door to your Internet needs oiled.

A grinding noise might be your hard drive failing. Has nothing to do with starting the PC in safe mode. But the problems you had that required starting in safe mode might have been caused by a bad hard drive.

Too many other possibilities to tell for sure. If I had the computer here, I'm sure I could find the problem pretty quickly.

Mine makes a grinding kind of noise, and I believe its' updating programs when doing this. Then, after awhile, the noise stops. I think it's normal, but I'll check again to see what others think.

sounds like you have some very fragmented files on your hard drive or it is about to give out on you, Try a good free registry cleaner and cross your fingers.

sounds like the disk drive is going out or maybe theres something in there that doesnt need to be... its sounds bad... have you open the sides and maybe listen a bit close to find out what part is really making the sound.. if you have kids you never know what
