I think it's silly when someone says they always think about this, that or whatever. How can you always have the same thought process if your life changes SO much from year to year, week to week or even minute to minute. 6 months ago it would have been my wedding. 6 years ago it would have been school. Right now it's holiday stress *lots of driving* 6 days, weeks, months from now.....who knows

Obviously, you are looking for generalizations here....
The answer will vary, depending upon the age and life situation you fall under. Young girls, teenagers, are thinking mostly about their social status among the groups at school. That will mean they think about how they look and how they are perceived by others. As young women, I think their thoughts turn to their futures. For those who are independent and want to make their mark on the world, this will mean thoughts of job/career etc. For those who have less interest, they will be thinking about wedding, husband and children. For mature women, generally, their thoughts are about their children or their careers, whichever path they have taken. And inevitably, they will start to think about the speed with which time has gone by....and how it has affected how they look and feel.

I've often wished I had a tape recorder hooked up to my brain to record the ideas I don't want to forget. I'm always writing, painting, planning or inventing things in my thoughts as I go about my daily life. My mind often is not on what I'm doing which makes me appear forgetful or feather-brained at times because I just plain don't care about mundane thing like what I need to buy at the store or the furniture I'm dusting, for example. I often jot down thoughts on grocery receipts, napkins in restaurants, my hand, etc. After 33 years, my husband is very used to me holding up my finger to indicate I need a minute to jot something down because maybe I just came up with the perfect mix of oil paints to finish an eye I was working on. I don't know what other people think about but sometimes I wish I could turn off my thoughts because I've even been known to get up out of bed to got write them down.

Usually organizing my day and deciding what I am interested in acomplishing in the short term and then broader thoughts lead to the long term. I'll run through my home, personal and then work obligations and move on from there to what I need to pre-plan for the next three months....seems like whatever it is changes enough that I'm always altering or adjusting....

Being a woman I think of a lot of things, including revenge; for instance once my husband said something very derogatory to me; I got back at him. Right now I'm thinking about this story that I'm writing, so many things go into writing a story; there's emotions to consider, background, story lines and having them melt into one is no easy task. Hmm, I think about keeping in shape, cause I know it's best for my health. I'm not the type to go and think about shoes; one to two pairs is sufficient. I think about animals alot; I love animals. I think about the usual womanly things when they pass through my mind, such as, cooking and cleaning, it's normal and part of the scheme of things.

Most women spent more time thinking about money. We worry about financial security more than men.

Depends on the female Just like men. Some of us are really into our careers. Our children, our mates. We usually by nature think of our family's first.
