I went to watch heroes on NBC the other day but it says i can't access the content from where i live (UK). It has done this on several other sites aswell.

Now barring the obvious solution to move to america (love to if i could)
is there anyway round this?

Most US broadcasters limit their streams to IP addresses located in the US. If you're outisde the US there's no way to directly access the content. Changing the region settings on your PC won't do anything for you.

In theory a proxy would work if it was located in the US. However many of the broadcasters also block known high capacity proxies to prevent their content from being delivered outside of the US. Low capacity proxies aren't much of an issue for them as they can't handle the volume of traffic necessary for streaming content.

Delivery of the content is restricted to the US both for copyright reasons and due to agreements in place with foreign broadcasters who pay for US content, typically one or two seasons after it was broadcast in the US.

Usually they work off the IP address which is issued by your ISP.

Don't know if a proxy would work- they may bar proxies, the only way to find out is for you to try it!

After that, you are able to't change anymore.

I used a VPN connection succesfully for this purpose. You would need such VPN access first.
