Kids would call her marzipan. Think about it.

Well I can't see how she would get maade fun of, at least, not until like high school. Most kids don't even know what the first answerer said (I'm in middle school, and bright, and don't). I think having a hyphen makes it more complicated. Either do Mazie Anne, or something like Mazianne. I would recommend doing Mazie Anne, because they are both real names, so spell check would get it right, she could get the meaning of it, etc. Mazie is a pet form of Mairead, which means pearl. Anne means grace, favour. So Mazie Anne means Grace pearl, or Grace favour. So it could mean Grace's Favour. pretty! I think Mazie Anne Louise is pretty!

Mazie as the first name and Anne as the middle but not a double-barrel name. Mazie is very pretty and girly

It's ok - but not together. Either Mazie or Anne but not both at the same time. Here are some names I like (as you won't yet know the sex of your baby) -
Boys - Marcus, Ethan, Nathan, Harley, Dominic, Evan, Conrad, Curtis, Calvin, Lewis, Connor, Keiron, Blake, Blair, Travis, Harrison.
Girls - Angel, Eva, Eve, Olivia, Yasmin, Amber, Sophia, Yasmin, Eden, Stella, Jade, Keira, Sky, Summer, Caprice, Violet, Crystal, Macey, Madison.
Best of luck!

I like Mazie. It's unique. They might call her Crazy Mazie....not the worst thing. You could just start calling her that as a nickname at home and then when kids do it, it won't hurt her feelings. Just a thought. Good luck.

I like it :]

Mazie reminds me of Maggie ... I think it is very cute and unique! I am unsure if you are wanting "anne" as a middle name or part of Mazie's first name ... I think it would sound good anyway, but i prefer "anne" as the middle name :) Good Luck!

I agree. As someone who got teased and harrassed all throughout Jr.High because of her name (Hope) I agree that naming your future child Mazie-anne would get your child teased at school.
I understand why parents want to name their children unique names. I get it. I totally understand. What parents need to get is that... this is their childs name and unless they want their child to change it in the future, this is something that their kid is going to live with for the rest of their life.

Sorry, I'm not keen. Like someone else said, Maisie is fine on its own, but perhaps pick a different middle name. Off the top of my head how about Maisie Louise?

it doesnt matter what you call your child, someone will make a nickname out of it. i have pooey Louis, and Hannah spanner. can't get much more normal names so call your child what you want to.
personally, i would spell it Maisy, but then lots of people spell Louis with an 'e'; Louie.
This is your child, think about her surname, and how it all sounds together. some people will always say something nasty about a child's name, which is why i never told anyone what i was calling mine until they were born!
good luck with your pregnancy, and congratulations x

I dunno, I gotta be honest, I dont like it but then it's your baby, your choice. If I had a little girl I would either call her Harvey, Elizabeth or Louise. I cant stand these names like Chelsea, Bethany, Britney, Marzipan, Summer... I could go on! They are really chavvy and not to mention, sooooo popular that all the girls in her class will have the same name. I suppose the advantage of this name is that nobody else will be called it. Good luck xx
